The fall equinox is almost upon us. Leaves are beginning to turn to their fall colors. A chill has settled into the air. The wheel continues to turn in a land with four distinct seasons, which makes this a wonderful place to be a Pagan. Many people have to go off into the woods to experience nature, but here it’s in the air every time we step outside. The turning of the seasons is the favorite topic of conversation. It’s great to be in Paganistan.

Magus Books held an eventful customer appreciation day to celebrate 19 years of business with lectures and door prizes. You can read more about Magus at: https://pncminnesota.wordpress.com/2011/09/16/magus-books-and-herbs-19-years-of-service-interview/

A lot of us want to attend the Earth House Midsummer Gather, but for some it’s difficult to come up with the $130 to attend. So, they’ve come up with a new payment system which allows people to pay $13 per month for 10 months at http://earthhousemn.org/paypal.php and then you’ll be all paid up to attend the 2012 Earth House Gather, June 17-24. Next year’s theme is Land & Nature Spirits.

Paul Eaves, a local labyrinth creator who’s work you’ve probably seen at local gatherings, was featured in a PNC article this week: https://pncminnesota.wordpress.com/2011/09/13/labyrinth-a-walking-prayer-at-tc-pagan-pride/

Magus Books and Herbs – 19 years of Service – Interview

Magus books is celebrating 19 years serving the Twin Cities this month. Join them tomorrow, Saturday Sept 17th from 10am-5pm for Customer Appreciation Day at Magus Books & Herbs.  FREE BBQ’d Vittles catered by Standing Stones Coven , Tea Sampling, Door Prizes, Grab Bags, Tarot, Aura Photos & other fantastic specials. Talks & Discussion will be happening through-out the day.

I talked to Roger Williamson about the history of the store. Provoking Thoughts and Expanding Horizons since 1992! is your website tag line, what does that mean to you?

We feel that in society a lot of people aren’t encouraged to go out and pursue their dreams. They may not be aware of all the opportunities open to them. I would like to think Magus helps promote that idea, magical philosophy, that you can be anything you want to be. We try to appeal to open-minded people, who feel all belief systems are valid. We should respect all points of view, even if they happen to be contrary to our own.

Twin Cities Pagan Pride at Minnehaha Park was magnificent. The weather was perfect. There were countless Pagans, and other interested people who just happened to wander by. It was a wonderful celebration and outreach. Hopefully there will be many more fabulous Pagan Pride celebrations in Minnehaha Park. Thank you to all the organizers, volunteers, vendors, presenters, performers, and attendees for making this such a great event.

There will be a Group/Seeker Meet & Greet at the Sacred Paths Center this Sunday at 4pm. This is a great opportunity for people to meet with representatives from various pagan groups.
