Community Notes; November 7-13

Tuesday is election day. Polls are open 10am-8pm. Voting in an off year election matters because politicians care about people who vote. People who vote in off year elections are more likely to vote in a general election, so politicians really care about them. Really, they have lists. They know who is voting. They track this stuff. So if we want politicians to pay attention the issues we care about, we need to vote.

The Eye of Horus is launching the first Pagan eBook store ever. They’ll be having a launch party this Friday at 7pm. They love books, but they also love trees, so they’ll be selling eBooks. I got a sneak peak at their new eBook store, and it’s amazing the books that are available, and how well they’ve made it browsable for Pagans.

There are three events with Kari Tauring on the calendar this week. Kari is a leading expert on Norse folk traditions, she’s local, and she’s delightful. If you have the ability to make it to any of her events, please do. We are lucky to have her in this community.
