All forms of belly dance have had an explosion of popularity in the Pagan and Twin Cities community the last few years. I talked to Tasha Rose of Kamala Chaand Dance Co  about the event:
What is unique about this event?
Tasha:   It is the first Minnesota workshop setting bringing together a collaboration of  three great talents and aspects of the Tribal Belly Dance world;
American Tribal Style (ATS) Master Wendy Allen of FatChanceBelltDance®
Kelly Holder who is an up and coming teacher in the Tribal fusion dance world
Cassandra Shore, a local but world class dancer and teacher who is versed in the tribal roots and history of Tribal dance and the rich folkloric heritage of the Middle East.

Twin Cities Dance Legend Cassandra Shore

Are there belly dancing drum workshops, too?
Tasha:   Yes, Tim Okeefe will be presenting two workshops that build on each other, presenting the rhythms and techniques of Arabic drumming. Tim is both local and world renowned for his belly dance drumming skills

Is there opportunity for private work with these master dancers?
Tasha:  Wendy Allen is offering private individual, small group, or troupe sessions for intense ATS work, tailored to a dancers needs. There are still two slots available for this private instruction.  It is a rare opportunity to get this kind of instruction, FatChanceBelltDance®  has been offering these at national events but it is the first time it is available in the Twin cities.

We also have some great vendors coming, Magical Fashions is a tribal dance world favorite, and Krishna is flying in direct from her travels in India.

Is the performance open to the public?
Tasha:  The Gala Dance showcase is Friday night with, Musette, Mistress O Mischief, a local burlesque entertainer as Master of Ceremonies.  The Show will feature all the National instructors, several dance troupes, and a full lineup of dance styles. Tim Okeefe will be also playing for an open dance on the stage. The Showcase is open to the public,  $28 for a three hour concert from 7-10pm,  Friday, Feb 1st

    You really make it seem so easy together with your presentation however I to find this topic to be really one thing which I think I’d never understand. It seems too complex and very broad for me. I’m having a look forward in your subsequent publish, I will attempt to get the grasp of it!
