Yes, it takes lots of work to set it up. But it takes just as much or more time, money, attention and expertise to maintain it.
The Twin Cities had a fairly large library set up as the New Alexandria Library in South Minneapolis. It was active for (scratches head) about a couple of years. But there simply was not enough traffic, nor were the founders’ purses large enough to support it for it’s long-term survival.
Now we’ve got another, more compact version housed in the Sacred Paths Center.
